Google Integration Helps Plan Neuron Trips

Singapore

Neuron Mobility has integrated its e-bikes and e-scooters with Google Maps, to help users easily locate the nearest e-scooter or e-bike.

Neuron says the integration – launched in 16 cities last week including nine in Australia – gives users better access to convenient first and last-mile transport options.

“This latest integration will help riders to better plan their journeys across different modes of transport and make taking an e-scooter or e-bike even easier,” according to a statement from Neuron.

“The service highlights a user’s nearest e-scooter or e-bike, directions and information on how long it will take them to reach it from their previous stop, calculates price estimates based on the selected route, the battery range and expected arrival time at their destination.

“After selecting a vehicle on the map, users will be redirected to the Neuron app for unlocking and payment.”

The integration is available to Google Maps users in Adelaide, Ballarat, Brisbane, Bundaberg, Canberra, Darwin, Hobart, Launceston and Townsville, with more to follow later in the year. In October 2021, Neuron partnered with Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform Moovit to improve trip customisation.
