Zoomo Partnership Boosts Capacity for Last-Mile Sector
Amsterdam, The Netherlands
Brisbane-based e-bike subscription company Zoomo is scaling up its operations in Europe and the UK, announcing a new partnership as it moved towards larger vehicles.
Zoomo last week announced the new partnership with Amsterdam-based Urban Arrow, a global leader in medium-sized e-cargo bikes, to further target the last-mile delivery sector.
“This partnership combines Urban Arrow’s high-quality hardware with Zoomo’s global sales, maintenance, software, and financing capabilities, offering customers in the urban logistics space a more diverse range of sustainable and efficient fleet subscription solutions,” Zoomo says in a statement.
“The partnership will enable Zoomo to meet the needs of the growing urban logistics delivery sector by offering customers a diverse range of vehicle types in its fleet, including Urban Arrow e-cargo bikes (the Cargo L and XL Cargo Line Rohloff).”
Zoomo co-founder and chief revenue officer Michael Johnson said: “Urban Arrow’s global reach also presents a significant opportunity for us to grow our business, while helping our customers expand their fleets and reduce their environmental impact.”
The Australian company has also been partnering with UK manufacturer EAV (Electric Assisted Vehicles) to run a trial with its large-scale cargo bikes, which are also used by Amazon and UK supermarket chain Asda.
While no details are available on the Zoomo and EAV trial, an announcement is expected in coming weeks.
